Elizabeth G. Forrest, MD

forrest.gifDr. Forrest was awarded her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, Virginia. She received her Doctor of Medicine in 1991 from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. Dr. Forrest completed her internship at Riverside Regional Medical Center and her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where she was Chief Resident from 1994 to 1995.

Dr. Forrest has trained at the following hospitals:

  • The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research
  • The Methodist Hospital
  • St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital
  • Houston's Veteran's Affairs Medical Center
  • Harris County Hospital District
  • Texas Children's Hospital

From 1995 to 1997, Dr. Forrest was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthpaedics and Rehabilitation. She has been a Physiatrist with Chesapeake Neurology Associates since 1997.

She is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners and of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Forrest is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and of the Association of Academic Physiatrists. She has completed additional courses in electromyography and clinical neurophysiology, spinal cord injury, upper extremity prosthetics, upper limb amputees, and sports medicine.
